Are they forever to be cast aside and forgotten as the modern waves of civilization leave them isolated, neglected and perhaps eventually decimated by disease or starvation? Could Christ say to these children of the jungle: "I have come not to destroy but to fulfill. I do not want to destroy all that is rich and good in your adat, in your unwritten law and in your treasured cultural heritage. I come that you might have life and have it more abundantly?" Hidden in the pockets of the Malayan highland jungles are a people who have lived in the hills for generations, perhaps centuries, and maybe even millennia.
