In 1981, Doug Stringer created a business card which read, "Somebody Cares. Call 24 hours a day. 'A true witness rescues lives' (Prov. 14:25)." Doug soon formed relationships with other Houston-area ministries and churches and, together, they developed joint outreaches including prayer drives, holiday street feeds and benevolence assistance.
